Loved and loathed in equal measure, ABC1's award-winning At Home with Julia was one of 2011's most talked-about television series and the year's biggest rating comedy hit.  

Now, for the first time, in conversation with Jack Brislee, join the show's creators, stars, writers and producers Amanda Bishop (Julia Gillard), Phil Lloyd (Tim Mathieson), Rick Kalowski & Greg Quail as they talk about the show's creative process, and all the controversy surrounding its broadcast.

About At Home with Julia

A four part narrative comedy about the life of PM Julia Gillard and her partner Tim Mathieson behind the closed doors of The Lodge, At Home with Julia, starring Amanda Bishop and Phil Lloydaired on ABC1 in September 2011, and became the top rating local comedy of the year. The show was a 2012 AACTA Award Nominee for Best Television Comedy Series, won the 2012 Equity Award for Outstanding Ensemble Comedy Cast, and, with its 90 minutes of extra content, makes an excellent gift on DVD.

Amanda Bishop ('Julia'; Co-Creator/Writer, Associate Producer)

Amanda developed her beloved Julia Gillard characterisation for the Sydney Theatre Company Wharf Revue of which she is a regular cast member, before performing as Gillard in the Seven Network sketch comedy series Double Take. A WAAPA graduate, Amanda's many other TV credits include the lead role in Cbeebies' Penelope K, By the Way, as well as roles in The Umbilical Brothers' The Upside Down Show, Review with Myles Barlow (ABC2/ABC1), Rake (ABC1) and My Place (ABC3).

Phil Lloyd ('Tim'; Co-Creator/Writer)

An AWGIE Award-winning writer and AFI Award-winning actor, Phil was also creator, star and co-writer of cult comedy series Review with Myles Barlow (ABC2/ABC1), which won consecutive AFI Awards for Best TV Comedy Series, and is currently being remade for Comedy Central in the US (as Review with Forrest MacNeil). In addition to acting roles in Laid (ABC1) and Rake - Series 2 (ABC1), Phil's next series, This Christmasco-created/written with regular collaborator Trent O'Donnell, airs on ABC1 later this year. 

Rick Kalowski (Co-Creator/Writer, Executive Producer)

An AWGIE Award-winning writer, Rick is Creative Director - Scripted at Quail TV, an independent production company in Sydney and Los Angeles.  Other credits include head writer of long-running sketch hit Comedy Inc. - The Late Shift (Nine), co-creator/head writer of Seven's Big Bite (starring Chris Lilley), and feature film The Honourable Wally Norman (starring Shaun Micallef, produced by Emile Sherman and directed by Ted Emery). Rick has also developed comedy pilots for US and UK television.

Greg Quail (Executive Producer)

Based at its Los Angeles office, Greg is founder of Quail TV, with other credits including Australia's highest rating factual hit Find My Family (Seven), AFI-nominated documentary Rudely Interrupted (ABC1), Pole to Pole (Nine) charting ultra-long distance runner Pat Farmer's year long North to South Pole charity run, Dinner Date Australia (Seven), Send in the Dogs Australia (Nine), documentaries Is That Thing Diesel? and Crossing the Ditch and Logie-nominated Saving Babies (TEN).
