Ian Pringle is an Australian film director producer and screenwriter. Pringle co-wrote and directed the Australian feature film Wrong World which was nominated for the Golden Bear at the 35th Berlin International Film Festival in 1985. His film The Prisoner of St. Petersburg was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival. He produced Romper Stomper (starring Russell Crowe) and directed The Plains of Heaven and Isabel Eberhardt which starred Peter O’Toole. After a hiatus of some years he is back with the brilliant low budget feature The Legend Maker.

Ian joins us to speak about his approach to screenwriting and his glittering roller coaster career.
