Calling all sci-fi screenwriters! The John Hinde Award for Excellence in Science-Fiction Writing is now open, celebrating the development and showcasing of sci-fi screenwriting for feature film, television, web series, audio and interactive media.
Funded by a bequest from the late Australian film critic John Hinde, the award offers $10,000 per year for the best produced script and professional support for the best unproduced script submitted.
This year, the produced category has been split to cover 2022 and 2023:
- 2022 Category: $10,000 will be awarded to the best script of 2022
- 2023 Category: $10,000 will be awarded to the best script of 2023
Entries close at 5pm (AEDT) Wednesday 7 February.
