18 August 2026 – The AWGIE Awards recognise and reward the outstanding achievements of Australian performance writers and their contribution to Australian culture and the arts.
Entries are open for eligible screen, stage, interactive and audio works that finished principal photography or production or had a first performance between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025 (please check individual categories for specific eligibility criteria).
The 59th Annual AWGIE Awards open Tuesday 18 August and will close at 5pm (AEST) on Thursday 17 September 2026.

ENTRANT GUIDELINES
- Open to current financial AWG Full and Associate Members. Membership must be valid at the time of entry and for the duration of the competition.
- New members will need to join for a minimum of 12 months.
JOINING FEE WAIVED FOR NEW MEMBERS
New members joining AWG with an annual associate or full membership will have their joining fee waived upon sign-up. To take advantage of this special offer, please contact admin@awg.com.au well in advance of the closing date.
