The AWGIE Awards recognise and reward the outstanding achievements of Australian screen, stage, audio and interactive writers and their contribution to Australia’s cultural landscape.
The 58th Annual AWGIE Awards are open to current financial AWG Full and Associate Members. Membership must be valid at the time of entry and for the duration of the competition. Before you submit your entry to the 58th Annual AWGIE Awards, please ensure your membership is up to date.
Entries open on Wednesday 20 August and will close at 5pm (AEST) on Thursday 18 September 2025.
HOW TO ENTER
To start your entry, please select the correct category below. You will be prompted to complete an online entry form via the AWG Member Portal and pay the $50 entry fee. For help with using the AWG Member Portal to complete your entry, view our entry guide here.
Before you submit your entry, please ensure you have read the entry guidelines.
Theatre nominees are eligible for consideration in the David Williamson Prize for Excellence in Writing for Australian Theatre. Before entering a theatre category, please ensure you have read the David Williamson Prize guidelines.
