Come and hear from an incredible line-up of writers who have found success in the genre space (with thrillers, crime capers, horror, sci-fi, fantasy and more) about how they developed their genre projects and what they learnt along the way.
Panellists: Bestselling novelist and screenwriter Christian White, whose credits include Netflix series, Clickbait (2021) and psychological horror, Relic (2020) along with TV shows, Deadloch (2023) and The Survivors (2025). Writer/Director of Sundance body horror/romance, Together (2025) starring Alison Brie and Dave Franco, Michael Shanks; Producer of Together and co-writer of Audible mystery, The Orchard (narrated by Eric Bana), Mike Cowap, and emerging screenwriter and VCA grad Mikhayla Dennis, whose thriller was selected for VicScreen’s Originate: Genre 2025 initiative.
