With 2026 well and truly upon us, it’s time to work out what to prioritise and which of your ideas to work on – but how do you know which project truly deserves your attention? Are you focusing on quantity or quality? Finishing a draft or just a treatment? Following the market or following your heart? And what are development executives and funding bodies actually looking for when they read your work?
Join our new AWG Victoria Committee Chair (as well as screenwriter, script editor, and development exec) Marisa Nanakhorn Brown as she chats to screenwriter, script producer and playwright Alberto Di Troia (Spooky Files, The Survivors), Isaac Beath (Development Executive at Princess Pictures) and Kate Darrigan (Fiction Development at Vicscreen, writer/co-creator of Tiktok series Scattered) about managing your creative juggle, strategies for moving projects forward, and how to make 2026 a productive one… whilst also enjoying some food and drinks with your fellow writers!
